Jumbo Giant is your number one source for online large format fine art print reproductions. Jumbo Giant uses sate of the art color ink jet printers with Epson UltraChrome archival inks to produce photo quality enlargements from your images. By simply uploading your digital files or scanned pictures you can have large format prints delivered directly to you.
* How Archival are your prints?
Jumbo Giant uses Epson UltraChrome inks on _______ premium papers. The prestigious Wilhelm Imaging Reseach Group has published test results of print life and can be found by clicking HERE.
* Does JumboGiant offer Giclee prints?
Yes, JumboGiant’s prints are Giclee. JumboGiant prints with fine art pigment inkjet printers that use archival inks (Epson UltraChrome). For the fine artist, we offer printing on an Enhanced Fiber Based Matte paper and Water Color Papers (100% cotton). All of our prints are done on HIGH QUALITY Premium Papers.
* What if I want a print size that JumboGiant doesn’t offer?
Simply select the paper size that the print size you want would fit on and select “no crop” when ordering. In the “Special Instructions” section of the order, let us know what custom size print you would like.
* What kind of picture files can I upload?
JumboGiant accepts .jpg .pdf .tiff files.
.jpg files are recommended since quality difference is difficult to see, but it is much easier to upload .jpg files than larger .tiff files.
* What is textured fine art paper?
Acid free 100% cotton textured finish for artistic appearance, 225G/M2 weight
* What is smooth watercolor paper?
100% cotton/rag content paper for archival quality prints
* Does JumboGiant offer canvas prints?
Yes, we print on high quality canvas. ALL CANVAS IS VARNISHED. Unique texture for true artist look. Poly/cotton blend. Stretchable for framing.
* Can I have my order drop shipped to someone else?
Yes, simply write in the name and address of the person you want the order sent to in the “special instructions” section of the order.
* How can I be sure the color on my monitor will match the color of JumboGiant’s print?
We have top quality people printing on the best quality machines. If you are not satisfied with your print, we will reprint free of charge. If you would like an ICC profile to “soft print” your image in Adobe Photoshop, you can download the ICC Profiles we use by clicking here.
* Do you mount prints?
Jumbo Giant does not offer mounting prints through the website due to difficulties with shipping.
* How long after I order will it take to receive my print in the mail?
JumboGiant ships your enlarged prints within two business days of receiving an order.
* Do I need any special software or programs?
All you need to work with JumboGiant is either Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0. If you would like to manipulate your images prior to uploading them to us, you can use nearly any image editing software product. Just be sure to save your images as high quality .jpg files (shoose 11 or 12 if you are using Adobe Photoshop).
* What happens if the picture that I order does not have good quality to a JumboGiant processor?
The photographers here at JumboGiant are close observers to details. After sending in your photograph to be enlarged, we make sure that the size of your upload image will not lose its quality. JumboGiant will NOT send any orders out that we would not want on our walls at home. We promise to send you the best quality!!!
* How much does shipping cost?
We use USPS Priority and Express Mail Services.
Priority Mail is normally 2-3 days.
Express Mail delivers in 1 day to most areas of USA
Typical 24 X 36 image weighs 1 LB.
* How do I properly prepare my files?
The photo quality printers JumboGiant uses can print files as low as 100 dpi to magnificent quality enlargements. We also employ state of the art resolution enhancement software to “res up” files that are sent to us. You simply send JumboGiant a .jpg file and we will properly prepare it to the size of your choice. If you would prefer to prepare your files to optimum resolution and you have an internet connection fast enough to allow you to send us large files, set your print size to the size of the enlargement you want and the resolution to as near 150 dpi as possible. I am not too sure about uploading pictures to the web.
* Can JumboGiant help me through it?
Yes! We are always happy to help our clients in every way possible. During the uploading process, select how many images you would like to upload. After selecting the number of images, select “upload images.” On the next page, if you have authority to have the files reproduced, select “yes.” Next, click on “browse” and navigate in the window that pops up to the file on your computer. Next select “open” and then “upload.” Uploading files can take several minutes depending on how large your files are and your internet connection speed. Congratulations, you have just uploaded your images!
* What is the quality of the enlargements?
JumboGiant can reproduce images to full photographic quality up to 40 X 60 inches. Final print quality is dependent on the resolution of the images that you provide. Click here for tips on image resolution.
* How do I upload images from my digital camera?
To upload images from your digital camera, there are a few steps. JumboGiant will walk you through it step by step.
* How do I scan a photo for JumboGiant to enlarge?
The process for scanning a photograph depends on the type of scanner you won. Carefully follow the directions from the manufacturer of your scanner and use these tips for figuring out what resolution you should scan at. Click here for tips on image resolution. * Will files from my digital camera make nice prints?
Files created with digital cameras can make excellent quality prints. The 3.3 mega-pixel and higher digital cameras can create photo quality prints up to 24 X 36 inches! Larger prints from these camera files look great up to 40 X 60 inches. Be sure to do as little cropping to your picture as possible (it is best to spend an extra moment composing your image when you are taking the photo.)
* Does JumboGiant crop my image?
During the ordering process, you are asked to choose “crop” or “no crop.” If your image does not proportionally fit on the print size you have selected, JumboGiant can either crop your image to fill the print or not crop and print your image within the confines of the paper size you have selected.
* What type of ink and paper does JumboGiant use?
We use only Epson UltraChrome inks and premium papers.
What do you mean about paper around the image?
Images are printed usually on paper that is larger than print. We are asking if customers want that extra paper for making matting and handling easier.
